GM Genuine Parts Transfer Case Assemblies are designed, engineered, and tested to rigorous standards, and are backed by General Motors. These remanufactured assemblies are part of the drivetrain of four-wheel-drive, all-wheel-drive, and other multiple powered axle vehicles. The transfer case transfers power from the transmission to the front and rear axles by means of drive shafts and synchronizes the difference between the rotation of the front and rear wheels. Remanufacturing transfer case assemblies is a practice that involves disassembly of existing units and replacing components that are most prone to wear with new components. Damaged and obsolete parts are replaced and completed units are tested to ensure they perform to GM specifications. In addition, remanufacturing returns select components back into service rather than processing as scrap or simply disposing of them.GM Genuine Parts are the true OE parts installed during the production of or validated by General Motors for GM vehicles. Some GM Genuine Parts may have formerly appeared as ACDelco GM Original Equipment (OE).
