Before the purchase and installation of a console compartment, make sure it is the correct fit for your vehicle.
- Avoid situations that may overstretch or put unnecessary stress on materials for extended periods of time.
- Use a vacuum and/or a damp cloth to remove debris, dust, and dirt.
- Keep out of direct sunlight as much as possible to prevent fading.
- Regularly inspect console compartments for signs of damage or wear, and replace them if signs of damage are found.
- Refer to your Vehicle Owner’s manual for additional vehicle maintenance practices.
Signs of wear or damage for console compartments include but are not limited to:
- Fraying or ripped material, distressed edges, or cracked surfaces and corners
- Straps, cords, and mounting hardware becoming loose or no longer taut
- De-lamination, bubbling, or weakness in structure
- Discoloration that persists even after cleaning
